So I figured why not just take my video and turn it into more of a tutorial / step by step explaining the steps which need to be taken and then create a blog post walking everyone through it as well with a little more detail so everyone has a better grasp on what I'm doing and exactly how to do it. To be a little more clear with what exactly is going on with my current situation is I am in the middle of more like the very beginning of creating a blog that I originally had gotten the idea from because whenever I would post certain videos on YouTube I would get people asking me over and over again for help on how to do it etc. I wish I could thank each and every one one of you, but please just know I really appreciate it and can thank you all enough for your feedback, advice, and help! Wow, thank you all so much I was nowhere near expecting getting this much feed back to my question.

Like I have a 10 TB Seagate and a 5 TB WD Passport and then several 8 to 32 GB thumb drives but like I said compared to my Samsung 1 TB SSD and my computer they are all slow as molasses and just such a pain to work with but is also the reason I am trying to reduce the file size to hopefully help with the upload and download times it takes when transferring it from those devices back into premier or wherever they need to be when the time comes. I do have several of those but to be honest with you unless it's my Samsung 1 TB SSD I hate saving any type of large video file onto them because if I do ever need to pop in and make a change it takes forever and I mean ever to load! So yes as stupid as it may sound and as much as even I want to permanently erase and get rid of a video explaining a stupid browser extension I make money off of using an affiliate link that is close to 10 minutes long and takes up 14 GB I have found it's always best to at least keep an original copy of the work saved somewhere on my computer but considering I have a lot of these things I just don't seem to find the need to keep it kept in such a large file size without using some resources to just compress it.Īnd yes to answer your other question about the external hard drives.

Or better yet when the platform you uploaded the video on either strikes it for some ridiculous new reason or suddenly the music you have in the background is no longer free or who knows anything can happen I've seen throughout the years. I have a few different blogs and am always in the process of making more which I use as part of my income, and even though most of these blogs are completely different verticals from one another you never know when one w=might overlap or you might find a video you've made useful again.
